It has been a while since I have updated. A lot has happened since my last blog posted. I lost my Mommy to a illness she struggled with for 7 years. It was heartbreaking on our whole family and devastating to everyone .
Now in her memory I will now fight harder to get into law school and completing my dream. A bit part of the reason I want to become a lawyer is because of her she has encouraged me my whole life through out this journey. I know it will never be hard but I can get through it. Losing my mom has been very very tough on me but has given me renewed hope that she is in a better place and I hope one day to spend my days forever with her.
Until then though I have lots to complete on Earth I want to leave my stamp in this word before I die just like she did with everyone she helped.
Me and her are a lot a like in terms of helping people and always wanting to find the good in everyone that is how I am.
I am officially graduating next December hopefully.
- The things I have to accomplish between then and now are a LOT.
I still have to take the LSAT's and those are very important,I was supposed to take it December 1st but I rescheduled yet again because I am just not prepared and I would like to take it once and be done with it forever. They are good for five years so I am hoping I can be done with it once and for all. I am aiming for a June test date. I will study a lot while being off for school for a month.
I need to rearrange my schedule in the spring semester and fit in my study for the LSAT's
- Other things I need to take care of are recommendation letters.
- One from my professor that I have taken for several classes and confident that she will give me one
- The other from my Supervisor for my volunteer job that I am hoping she will give me one. Those two recommendation letters I hope to receive by May 2013.
- The other thing I need is to send in my transcripts.
I can already send the transcripts of the other two colleges I have attended and wait until the last possible minute for the one I am planning on graduating from.
- The other is a personal statement that is only one page. The awesome thing is I can send these things in as I get them done.
I am applying to about 20 colleges and that is my limit.
A lot of them are from Texas because I would like to stay in my home state as it is cheaper and closer to family. My dad will be relocating with me wherever I get chosen and of course my puppy. So I am happy my dad is going to stay with me because I feel it will do him so good to relocate and start over and maybe he can find a volunteer job or get a job. He is currently retired.
So as I check these things off I will be writing about and hopefully by August 2014 I will be attending law school. I can not wait. I am ready for this next challenge to start and I know it is a challenge but I am ready!!
Until next time,
Valencia
